Ear­lier this year, shang­haiBIM part­nered with the Ecobuild orga­ni­za­tion to develop two BIM ses­sions for Ecobuild’s two day global sus­tain­abil­ity con­fer­ence. For the BIM ses­sions, shang­haiBIM tapped some of the indi­vid­u­als work­ing on China’s nation­wide BIM guide­lines as well as indi­vid­u­als using BIM in prac­tice in China. The first BIM ses­sion is a sem­i­nar titled: Under­stand­ing China’s National BIM Ini­tia­tives. In this sem­i­nar, indi­vid­u­als work­ing on the cre­ation of China’s National BIM Guideline’s will talk about how BIM fits into the country’s goals for effi­ciency and sus­tain­abil­ity. The sec­ond BIM ses­sion titled, BIM in prac­tice: Enabling effi­ciency through high per­for­mance design, is a case study show­cas­ing the use of BIM to cre­ate higher per­form­ing projects. Mem­bers of shang­haiBIM will mod­er­ate both ses­sions. This year’s ecobuild will give an insight into the future of China as well as illus­trate the country’s com­mit­ment to effi­ciency through Build­ing Infor­ma­tion Modeling.

The Ecobuild China 2013 con­fer­ence will be held on April 1^st and 2^nd. The con­fer­ence is part of the larger Ecobuild China Exhi­bi­tion pro­gram tak­ing place April 1^st thru 3^rd. In total, there are 9 one-​hour ses­sions pre­sent­ing issues which are impor­tant to China, bring­ing together lead­ing pro­fes­sion­als with inter­na­tional expe­ri­ence to share best prac­tice, analy­sis, case stud­ies, and thought lead­er­ship. The audi­ence will be made up of gov­ern­ment agen­cies, archi­tects, devel­op­ers, man­u­fac­tur­ers, sup­pli­ers, investors and all those inter­ested in sustainable/​green construction.

作为“2013 Ecobuild China绿色建筑实践之路国际论坛”的官方合作机构，shang­haiBIM将协助组织开展两个主题演讲。我们邀请到了中国BIM国家标准的相关负责人以及其他BIM专家。其中一个主题演讲是“BIM建筑信息模型在中国的战略发展”，届时将由中国BIM国家标准负责人与大家分享BIM是如何推动可持续及高效能。另一个主题演讲是 “BIM技术在建筑设计中的应用”，届时将会展示BIM在高性能建筑方面的实践案例。两个主题演讲都将由shang­haiBIM的成员主持。今年的Ecobuild China将会推动BIM在中国以及其他国家的应用和发展。

“2013 Ecobuild China绿色建筑实践之路国际论坛”将于今年4月1日至3日于上海举办。作为“Ecobuild China 世界节能环保与生态建筑中国展”（4月1日至3日） 的一部分，会议为期两天，由九个主题演讲组成。演讲嘉宾汇集了国内外顶尖绿色建筑行业专家、学者，他们将和与会者一同分享先进绿色建筑理念与技术、前沿的 实践案例、商业机遇与思考等。届时将有来自各地热衷于可持续或绿色建造的政府官员、设计师、开发商、制造商、供应商、投资者等前来参加本次会议。
